St. JosephFrom December 8, 2020 until December 8, 2021, Pope Francis has invited the Church in his Apostolic Letter Patris Corde to celebrate a Year of St. Joseph so as to "increase our love for this great saint, to encourage us to implore his intercession and to imitate his virtues and his zeal". For those interested in obtaining special indulgeneces there are a variety of ways to paritcipate in celebrating this Year of St. Joseph. Above all, learning to imitate St. Joseph's zeal in caring for his wife, Mary, and in caring for children. We are all invited to advocate for and to work for creating a society that treats women and children with dignity and respect. St. Joseph was untiring in his fidelity to Mary and to Jesus and strove to keep them safe from harm. As a community, we join in praying the Litany of St. Joseph as we join in creating a society that is safer for women and children.
